About The Gentle Return

The Gentle Return is a space for women to cultivate the conditions for living well. It is built around a simple idea: the way we care for our internal world influences the way we think, respond, create and participate in our lives.

The Gentle Return draws from the teachings and practices of Kundalini Yoga, bringing these practices into conversation with contemporary understandings of the nervous system and the realities of modern life. Through movement, breath practice, meditation, mantra and reflection, these teachings become part of everyday living, offering practical ways to care for the human system and cultivate the conditions for living well.

At the heart of The Gentle Return is the understanding that meaningful change is rarely created through intensity alone. Small, repeatable practices give us an opportunity to listen more closely, develop greater capacity and learn how to work intelligently with ourselves. Over time, practice can become something we genuinely look forward to returning to, a familiar rhythm within the day that supports a stronger relationship with our body, our intuition and our own inner knowing.

The Gentle Return is also a living space, designed to evolve alongside the women who are part of it. The ideas, practices and conversations will continue to develop over time, while remaining anchored in the simplicity at its heart: small daily returns that support the way we want to live.

Ultimately, this is about more than the practice itself. We practise so that more of us is available for our lives, our relationships, our work, our creativity, our ambitions and the things that matter to us.

A place to return to yourself, so you can return more fully to your life.

About Sam…

Founder, The Gentle Return
Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Teacher | Human Systems & Conscious Living Educator

Supporting women to build the internal capacity to thrive through every season of life.

I believe the human system is one of our greatest technologies, and that learning how to work with it consciously can profoundly shape the way we experience and participate in our lives.

My work brings together the ancient teachings and practices of Kundalini Yoga and meditation with an understanding of the nervous system and the realities of modern life. Through breath practice, movement, meditation, restorative routines and reflective inquiry, I explore practical ways of nourishing and strengthening the internal foundations that influence how we think, perceive, respond, create and live.

I am particularly interested in the power of consistent practice. Small things, returned to regularly, can change the way we meet our days. They can build capacity, strengthen resilience, refine discernment and create more room for vitality, creativity and a deeper trust in our own internal resources.

The Gentle Return grew from this philosophy. It is an expression of my belief that caring for the human system does not need to be complicated or another demand placed upon an already full life. It can be woven into the way we live, through practices and rhythms that meet us where we are and evolve with us through different seasons.

Ultimately, my work is about creating the conditions from which we can live well. When we understand our own system and learn how to work intelligently with it, we have greater capacity to participate in our lives with awareness and intention, while continuing to grow into more of what is possible for us.

with reverence,

Sam xx
